Last time i used to go to the hilltop beside Dewan Serbaguna in Salak South NV (Beside MCA) to have breakfast.  The restaurant is by the name of "Fei Lou Restaurant".  They serve nice coffee.  However, since taken over by new owner recently, i stop going there anymore, because the food and coffee there is tasteless.  How I wish the previous owner continue his business there.

Must Try their , Ipoh Hor Fun, Curry Mee, and very hard to find the chicken rice that nice around here.

Hometown in locate nex to the M.E.I Furniture show house. Facing the Highway.

Great Food and Great environment.

FOR HOMETOWN kopitiam @ desa petaling :

Price here is about the same like oldtown kopitiam i guess. not much different, but here now got tv and Wireless lan which make the place better for me. i am a bit bored to stay at home going online. that day i only order one coffee and a toast bread is less than RM5. and i stay more than three hour checking on my mail and doing my work here not bad.

well for me this place ok.

The porridge at the Restoran 997 next to the new condo also nice but now the auntie went back to taiwan coming back in 1 more week. For curry fish head lover you all can try to go to kuchai lama Restoran Kwong Long beside the IpohRoad Yong Tau Foo, the curry fish head over thr is really nice but u must go before 8.30pm coz the business too good very fast sell finish.

Thank you all for the suggestion and feedback.

I have tried the Hometown Coffee, the coffee at RM2.60 per cup is just so-so, in fact the Desa Petaling Restaurant coffee taste much better at RM1.10. However, the steam bun / bread is good and the kaya spread is tasty at RM2.40 and RM1.80 respectively.

Nasi lemak at RM7.90 is ok but the prawn mee at RM5.90 is just so-so. Have not tried others. Would love to hear from you.

I wish there are more restaurants in Desa Petaling. Nowadays, my family and I usually head to Kuchai Entrepreneur's park for dinner over the weekend. Many restaurants there!!! Grin

Food in Desa Petaling :

ABC Restaurant - mamak style food - boleh tahanlah as it is near and convenient and food is ok. Some dishes taste good but the again it depends on person's taste buds.

Indian Restaurants and Indian style cooking also available near Leela Ratos Clinic or KK supermarket foodstall.

Chinese restaurant between KK Superstore & ABC also boleh tahan depending on the dishes you order.

We also have Western Cowboy - great western food in Desa Petaling.

Kopitiam and white coffee also plenty in Salak South Village.

Nowdays even getting FATMAN steamboat guy in his truck everyday. Beer and hard liquor also plenty not to mention snooker & pool table either above ABC or in Megan Corporate Park.

Only thing missing is proper vegetarian food - need to go to Kuchai for that.

Tau Fu Far also available near MEI Furniture with Durians and occasionally other fruits.

Did I miss anything great ?

Hmm... Hope this wont be too far away. But worth the try.

It is located in Sri Petaling. I forgot the name of the restaurant, i think it is called "Soon Fatt".
Well, it is very easy to locate. Opposite Hotel Sri Petaling. Underneath a restaurant name "Da Chang Jing" (The korean movie title)

Located in a corner, with red table cloth. Well, it is quite nice. Have a mass variety of food to order. If you want single person meal "dai chao", will be at RM5 to RM8 (More luxurious, cost more la). Normal ones like "Gu Lou Yok" will be Rm5. Quite fast, no need to wait very long although in its peak hour. Well, if anyone of you had tried it out, can leave some feedback here to prove what i say is right...Hahahaha
