But I hope it will be cheaper & better or atleast as good as Carrefour (SriPetaling) which is the next nearest & cheapest option (enlighten me if i'm mistaken).  I think DP being a high density township, seriously lacks a good place to shop for ones daily needs.

Hi KTBT33,

Heard it from a reliable source. Wouldn't mind betting on a can of coke / 100 Plus with you on Giant.

VPSIFU

its about time to have a hypermarket ( or supermarket) that sells low priced sundries and goods, that near. Can save up in petrol prices for traveling the distance to midvalley or sri petaling.
Hopefully it won't cause congestion on the traffice light for us to go home....  Cheesy

Dear Chili,

U R right. Nearest Giant in Old Klang Road. Nearest Carrefour is either Sri Petaling or Jalan Peel. Nearest Tsco is in Taman Midah. Nearest HERO Supermarket is in Permaisuri.

High time we got our own hypermart / supermart.

Any idea when they will be completing the building ?

Regards,

VPSIFU

VPSIFU,

Unofficial source : I reckon is that the construction should complete before year end and commence biz ( after CF ) before CNY.

I guess VPSIFU is staying in Vantage Point. Can go shopping by walking ( approximately 400 metres ) Olympic time about 41 seconds.

Things are expensive nowadays - only buy neccessity items. The smart consumers motto : DELAY GRATIFICATION !!!!

Dear Kenny,

Yes VPSIFU is staying at Vantage Point since 1997 and would mind trying to beat the Olympic time but VPSIFU is lazy and spots a lucky pot belly like laughing Budha & will not carry groceries back by hand from Shell to Vantage Point.

Regards,

VPSIFU

lol @ kenny and VPsifu...  Grin

If its just walking for some lunch or dinner, it wouldn't be a chore...
But to carry a household of groceries, that would be killing !

But i do hope they will find a solution for the cars that's traveling outward bound from that site. From the current layout, they will have to use the inner road of the Megan corporate park, and then waits for the very slow traffic light to turn green ( which is only for a few cars to pass through ).
It's just so funny to think, when the traffic light breaks down at that junction, the car moves even more smoother ( no long lining up of cars ) than when the traffic light is functioning. Undecided

Hmm... if a lot of people from KL direction going back home, and want to drop by at this Hero supermarket, will it be like the situation when the petrol price soar from rm1.92 to rm2.70? The traffic is terrible that time. I remember wanting to go out, and the jam is just terrible and stuck for like 15minutes in the shell junction.

Yea, developers should plan ahead on what will happen so that inconveniences will not happen.

Dear Chillicandy,

Thanks for the posting. It amazing that u noted the thing at the traffic lights near Shell.

Hopefully with Giant opening, the lights will be down and faulty always. lol.  Grin

Does anyone know if the hypermart will have carparks ?

Regards,

VPSIFU
