yo here's my two cents, from me to you. you want youth. if it doesn't have young chica in hot pants you don't call it a mall. if you have a mall and want it to remain a mall you better hope youths are flocking there. Look wat happens to what's left of Warta mall in front of the chinese village and Lucky Plaza along old klang road. Fact.

It's proven its the Millennials and early iGenerations that drives the economy and made technology boom way faster than it was before we took over - look how long VHS lasted, then see how long DVD was around before being phased out.

dude the older guys just keep their money in the pillowcase (not that i'm complaining but maybe there really is a bank in heavens i don't know about, nobody told me about it in the MTVs)

if you are an entrepreneur you make sure you market your stuff with these youth in mind.

yahHoo! the springtime of youth is damn awesome!!

Hahaha...

Or the hot chica is paid to be there? Hahaha

But, this is a new generation.. You have to be with the wave to be successful.. You don't and will not plan to counter the wave, cuz all you will get is losing if u counter the wave..

Same for the culture now.. If mall no people lepak.. then is gonna be another warta

ok the word lepak is so last century. i'm pretty sure kaiser could keep us up to date with the new word. probably something like 'chill' or 'hang'. and i'm sure youth nowadays have more dignity than to randomly harass people on the streets

the malls needs youth, but certain type of youths.... they needs 'youths' that have 'spending power'... LOL!
If not, just look at kotaraya and pertama complex..... what kind of youths hanging there ?  Cheesy

Don't everyone notices that 'a malls' comes to life if it attaches with a cool cinema or hypermarket ?

hey hey phenom LOVES kotaraya and pertama, so colorful and very much alive! they cater for different market mah, otherwise pavilion and mid valley will be more complicated.

not too sure about hypermarkets though, don't think lots of youth go there. with higher spending power these youth probably would buy a can of pringles at RM10 but i might be wrong.

phenom don't shop in hypermarket, always go lowyat because phenom eat RAM chips for breakfast, LAN cable spaghetti for lunch and fried overclocked CPUs for dinner  Grin

ahhh... fiber optic and wantan mee ?  Huh

cinemas, specialty shops = youths
hypermarkets = families, married couples

so, if both youth and families group are targetted, the Malls comes to Life !  Tongue
