I was just talking to a colleague about Gulam Rasul...
Nasi Kandar, with special ayam goreng... the chicken is marinated & fried till black color... so damn loaded with spices & taste, and salty enough for peopel like me & chilli to appreciate, yet not too salty like some badly fried mee goreng mamak with stones of salt in the mee goreng...
and of course, they've got the usual set up for nasi kandar, nasi beriyani, fish, chicken, mutton, beef, crab, prawn, pineapple, squid, etc etc etc...
and the sambal is also very nice & red... hehehhee...
I'm getting hungry & thirsty just by typing this ...
Gulam Rasul is the name of the place… apparently they’ve got a few branches here and there in perak… the HQ is in teluk intan, and there’s no way you can miss it, cause from Bidor & Kampar, there’s only one road going into Teluk Intan… unless you come from Sitiawan or Lumut, which is highly unlikely…
There are two branches along the one road going into Teluk Intan, which 1 is the original open air Mamak (quite big), and the other is air cond version…
Then I remember seeing one on the way to kampar, or mambang diawan.. can’t quite recall….

dun worry bidor is a small town, just follow PLUS exit to Bidor and the duck noodles it's already nearby. I remember the coffee shop is located on a row of shop houses, along the one and only main road. and this coffee shop is linked to the nextdoor shop selling kai chai peng, lou po peng and stuff. oh ya there are lots of peddlers selling petai outside the shop too.
now i feel like arranging to work outstation in penang, haha so can drive and stop by bidor for duck noodles, then head to penang for CKT and their cute chica..

Yes, phenom, you got the description right... and also, Uncle Dave (weird saying that), just after you've passed the shop and thought to yourself "F*ck, I missed the shop, and there's no U-turn, no parking on the curb, and the roads already jam packed with double parking!", don't worry, just a little after, there's a little road on your left, you can turn there and theres a hidden area with open air parking which is usually empty (for morning market purpose)... then you just walk over to the shop... this is of course if you're coming from the plus highway direction.. if from teluk intan, its the otherway, and parking, is good luck to you, try somewhere near the bus station which is the left turn after the shop...
The name of the shop is Pun Chun... its a double shop(Corner) but in the center of the row of shops.. From Plus highway, you'll turn right at the first immediate traffic light.. keep going till you see KFC on your left and another traffic light bending towards your right... about 100 meters after that traffic light is the shop, on your right handside..
Remember to also try their wu kok.. nice..
