This story is especially dedicated to those who always talk non stop about recession and how it hit them hard and stuff. oh come on, really?? STOP KEEPING ALL YOUR MONEY UNDER THE PILLOW! you know what, you're the culprit the world is in the situation as it is..

pi mean if you believe in recycling (the 'you can make the difference' cra], like one in billions can save the earth??) then you have no reason to believe you can save the economic crisis too. haha phenom like to be the hypocrite police  Grin

actually got this from a friend, forward forward forward email..

here it goes..
> This Story is about a man who once upon a time was selling
> Hotdogs by the roadside.
> He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers.
> He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio.
> His eyes were weak, so he never watched television.
> But enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs.
> He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to
> increase his sales.
> His sales and profit went up.
> He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to
> sale more.
> He recruited few more supporting staff to serve more
> customers.
> He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got
> himself a bigger and better stove.
> As his business was growing, the son, who had recently
> graduated from College, joined his father.
>
> Then something strange happened.
> The son asked, "Dad, aren't you aware of the great
> recession that is coming our way?"
> The father replied, "No, but tell me about it."
> The son said, "The international situation is terrible.
>
> The domestic situation is even worse.. We should be
> prepared for the coming bad times."
> The man thought that since his son had been to college,
> read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV.
> He ought to know and his advice should not be taken
> lightly.
> So the next day onwards, the father cut down his raw
> material order and buns, took down the colourful signboard,
> removed all the special schemes he was offering to the
> customers and was no longer as enthusiastic...
> He reduced his staff strength by giving layoffs.
> Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his
> hotdog stand.
> And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the
> profit.
> The father said to his son, "Son, you were
> right".
> "We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am
> glad you warned me ahead of time."

well... my own thoughts on that short story would be...

i should know my own business better than someone who just completed studies, but without any experience.
Its always the 'experience' that counts.

take a look at the 'apprentice'... those who got good grades not necessarily knows how to goes about the business world...

No 2-3yr education can beat .....

1. Experience....
2. Adequate Coaching...
3. On job training....
4. Living with a family of professionals....

No doubt they'll be smart, maybe smarter, but not street wise.... it always shows in the freshies... they know their maths & their theories... but they don't know how to anticipate human behaviour... which is both extremely volatile & also highly imperfect when coming to implementation of theories without taking into consideration human psychological factors...

guys,
we can study till Phd, "tatak rugi wow"

but the most important is whether we can relate / adopt our knowledge in the REAL world

some of us "belajar tinggi-tinggi" but didn't success in career
and some of us only UPSR/PMR/SPM but success & kaya-raya

we need all of this in our life
 -knowledge nor education
 -determination
 -harworking
 -smart

but without all above, doesn't mean that we can't success
coz sometimes, we only need this magic word,
LUCK

my dear child, you have much to learn. there is no such thing as luck. Lady Luck is busy having high tea with The Queen of Hearts down the rabbit hole while listenng to Lady Gaga on iTunes.

no amount of toilet paper can make anyone any more successful than someone with character. yes you have positions and positions and then more positions - if that is how you measure success then my friend, sorry to say you are misconcepted, just like the other 98% of the world's population. but of course this kinda idea is necessary to keep the world in place, because, simply, people need to be given (note word given) that idea otherwise who wants to work in convenience stores, boutiques, hotels, corporate offices, schools, you know where i'm going.

is being employee of the month being successful? is being a bank manager being successful? is being head of accounts being successful? is being the chief editor being successful?

All this can just be achieved by simply being 20% more hardworking than your average colleagues (and maybe having more toilet paper helps)

who do i think is successful? think loh boon siew. think uncle lim. think Tony Fernandes. Think captain11 who only work a few days a year  Grin

as for phenom, he is just a lazy mutant, one that is full of crap  Cool and wasting his time with his stupid ideas on desapetaling.com while waiting for the stupid E-Hasil pages to load which is taking forever (again proves he is lazy because doing it last minute)
