wah... so lucky... given by company... given you know..... GIVEN!!!

I don't even get loan from company... sien....

However, I have been travelling over Msia in the past 6 months with a 1997 Honda Accord 2.2L Executive. Old, but steady... and comfy... just damn high maintenance... things break and don't work every now and then... your regular problems that come with old age...

haha drove a 1976 Toyota Corolla (they call KE-20) since me in form5 till 2nd year of college. friends call it Green Hornet (no prize for those guessing it was green in color). it was during peak of Initial D so crazy college friends (was doing lots of street stunts then) call it nanaroku/76 - the Initial D's trueno is hachiroku/86.

probably some of you living in the pangsapuri have seen the car around a lot..

then I was on kancil.. and did even crazier things on the road.. until recently i got the blm..

see phenom live very humble life  Grin

Cheesy..ohh way way back.... i did drove the datsun 120Y... ( belong to my younger bro ),,...
i must say it was kind of a shock ... lol, because the interior 'lights buttons, etc...' works differently... it actually is a kind of small stick to push up and down... LOL !

Then comes nissan sunny 130Y... i actually love this machine because of its tough black bumper ! It can push cars away and nudge them it they gets in your way... and still remains tough and good looking ! XD The down part is when you tries to step on the gas , even the gear down to 1, it still drags very slowly when climbing the Bukit Segar....  Tongue

kancil ( manual) was nice when you do the parking... the downside is when you get bigger vehicles bullying us... yeah, those big pajero just pushes in when they wanna get in the lane. Don't even bother to wait for you to slow down or pass by. And driving at 80kph , the car felt like going to break into pieces !

Satria ( manual ) was nice.... this was a modded engine, something turbo i guess... ( me not very good with the specifications... lol ), all i know is, when i stepped on the gas pedal... it goes vrooommm...  yeah, its more powerful than the usual cars i drove.

lets see... yeah, a ford... whatever... saloon... drove only once. ( helps a friend to drive this car to an airport )

Nissan serena ( auto ) ... hehe, this was a test drive... And found out not really like 'tall' cars... or bulky cars... Because if i don't slow down when cornering, the vehicle felt like going throw itself off the road...  Tongue

kenari ( auto )... very fragile feeling when driving this. When stepping on gas pedals, also felt the 'terrible' feeling if i speeds. When trees's stick fell on the roof, it goes 'KONK'... very loud...  Roll Eyes

wira.( manual )... ok...lor...

vios ( auto ), this one very small.... but easy to speed along city centre because of its size.... kind of ngam ladies more...

toyota wish ( auto ) , nice to cruise... not too big , nice to ferry medium size family around.

I still preferred to drive saloons type.. or those that's more sticking to the road... XD

waja. still driving this occasionally...

All the above cars does not belong to me.... XD...

wow sugar, with your driving experience you're like our own desapetaling.com version of jason statham.. like this hot mama transporter who can totally kick the bad guy (like sagat's) backside twice over..

doesnt datsun 120Y and nissan 130Y look similar?? if i'm not wrong datsun was absorbed into nissan in the late 80s if i'm not wrong.

and i beg to differ on your kancil comment.. throughout my 7 years driving kancil i can tell you one thing.. they behave like cute little devils on federal highway, come pagero or lexus or any 4wd, we let you smell smoke during heavy traffic, hell you will not even manage to see the kancil's rear car plate.. they go zip.. zip.. zippity zap..  Cheesy

hahahaa..

i managed 130kmh for the 660, now the blm at 1.3 i can only press it to 160 on the north-south express. talkabout speed to cc ratio  Grin

ya sure sometimes feels like i'm inside a washing machine but nothing beats the satisfaction of passing gas and letting people smell it hahahaarrr

oh ya i totally forgot to mention i was riding my honda kapchai bike for a while like its the grand prix during form4 and first year of college.. got my own collection of scars from there..  Grin Grin

hmm... are we writing about cars we've driven (as owners or co-owners or at least family members?) or cars driven as long as pernah drive that car once??

Here's my list of cars driven as owner/co-owner/family member...which I've driven at least 50 times or more

Proton Saga/manual (the original) .. if i recall correctly, hatchback... or was it aeroback.. same gua?? it was my mom's car.. Don't quite recall the feel... hehe..

Volvo 240/manual (i can't recall how old, it was my dads pride & joy 20 yrs ago...)... haha

Fiat 240 Manual (if i'm not mistaken) (My second bro's 1st car).. it was this really boxy car, with very little aircond, side windows (which you don't wind down like windows nowadays, you open haha)...and I remember it being so old, that everyonce in a while, its exhaust would spew fireballs.. cool.. & it drank a mixture of leaded & unleaded petrol.. it was such a cool car... No power steering, so power hand, as we liked to call it.. hehehe..

Citreon ZX (eldest bro's first car) if i recall correctly manual, the one that has hydraulic suspensions... man i loved that car... takes corners wonderfully... & the best part, when you start the car, the car goes up (due to the hydraulics.). ncie.. only problem was age... it was leaking in too many places.. had to refill the hydraulic oil every two weeks or so..

Wira 1.5 1995 auto, my 1st car... nice... modded it very slightly, just added sum stabilizer bars, power regulator & some fuel saving thingies... but a nice ride until the very end.. sold it off last year at 8.5K... what a cheap deal for the buyer, not the seller..  Sad miss that car....

Honda Accord now... nuff said..

Vios (moms new car)... nice... good pick up.. comfy ..Quiet.. very good for the ladies too...as qoute by my wifey...

Peugeot 406(very old version) auto i think its a 1997 model? My dads car after the volvo... pretty good drive as well, the only thing that sucks with european cars is finding someone who knows how to fix them... it is now our estate car (as in, when going to palm oil estates, or off road, we take this luxury car..hahahaha..)

Wira 1.8L Auto (2nd bros 2nd car). sluggish at pick up i felt... but nothing special...

Hyundai Matrix ... aiyo ..very tall, and a little tight in front leh... maybe its cause of my balls of steel can't compress... huhuuhuhuh..

Mercedes 240 (200X model) not 2008/9..heheh... wah... this is probably the biggest and heaviest car I've driven... but when hitting 150-160 and above... feels like just cruising... hawa... no problem at all.ahhaha..

next up.. other cars I've driven..

saga aeroback auto (ex-gf no 3, mom car).. hehehe...

kancil (current wife car)

Mitsubishi lancer 1 (yes 1, not evolution) this was one of our favourite cars because of.... TURBO!!! Yep, it had a special gear handle for going into turbo (a kind of 5th gear, cause the car only had 4 gears..haha)
(From my best friend's gallery... )
Among others from him...
Mitsubishi Galant (Super duper old version).. again.. another power hand issue..
Nissan Sentra (90's model)
Hyundai Accent His current car...

Kembara ... aiyo.. terribly small leg space.. and I feel like i'm gonna fall off anytime...
Kelisa... not bad... not bad...
Oh ya.. and the satria .. how could I forget (my sister in law's car.)... i drifted once or twice with that car... intentionally...hehee...

what else leh?

Like this, we can talk talk more mah... if not, there's nothing much to talk about only one car... :p

hahaha, i like phenom's choice of word, " like the washing machine "....  how very fitting !  Grin
yeah, that's what it felt like when the car is not made for speed cruising... that happens to very fragile car... lol !
When nissan sunny goes over 160, the whole steering would shakes....
when kancil goes up 100, it really felt like a washing machine on the road... LOL !

wow captain ! u tried the lancer ! i think lots of cars have 5th gears right ? I remember having trouble switching from 4th gear to the 5th... because its so way below... :p ( not lancer lah... don't have that privilege... )

chilicandy 99.99% of manual cars you see in KL have 5 gears.. only time i drove a 4-geared car was the 1976 toyota corolla.. which is difficult to drive because on the last 4th gear you can feel the car actually hungers for 5th gear but back then i think those engineers have not figure out the way to make them cheap..

and the 5th gear not way below mah.. they are on the right top corner of the gear shaft (unless you drive in US), note harr the one way below is Reverse LOL

Emm.. not the new lancer ya... hehehe. its like a 1987 lancer? or older?? really .. the very first lancer?? hence, 4 gears.. hahaha...and a special stick for the fifth gear..hahaha...

I drive my wife's Kancil everytime my own car out of service, and at 100.. its scary.. ahhahah.. btu of course, my wife's kancil is just a mask.. under the hood... a 1.0 mitsubishi mira engine.. if i'm not mistaken..hahahaha
